On December 28th, 2002, the Republic of Benjaland, Daddyland, and the Planet of Tatooine, which were all made-up countries, united to form the Republic of Niwic. The name "Niwic" (pronounced NEE-wik) came from the Wichita word "niwi:c" (pronounced nih-WAYTS), meaning "skunk". The Niwican provinces of Benjaland, Daddyland, Tatooine, Vipers and Steel are located in north-central Texas, and Wuutsabaya is located in central Oklahoma. Governor McCoy is an Eagle Scout Chester McCoy, the Governor of Vipers, has been in Boy Scouts since he was 11. He has persevered, and now he has attained the highest rank in scouting: Eagle Scout. His Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held in Fort Worth, Texas, and was attended by the President of Niwic, as well as Governor Doyle Bruce of Daddyland and Sarah Bruce. Chester is the first Niwican to become an Eagle Scout, and Niwic is honored to have him as a citizen.
Final Election Results The National Niwican Elections are now over! Only 26% of Niwicans voted, and the final score was 71% Benjamin Bruce, and 29% Doyle Bruce for President. So Benjamin Bruce is still our President! |
