Coins of the Old System All Niwican coins from 2003 were made at the Gardenthian Mint in Grandfather's Shop, Terabithia, Gardenthia (now Terabithia, Niwic) by Alec Smith, former Director of the Department of the Mint. All coins were wooden, and the date, nation, and denomination was stamped on the coins with a rubber stamp. Unlike the old Benjish coins, the florins were much smaller than the shillings, and the 1p coins were bigger than the 10p coins. The denominations were 25p, 10p, 5p, and 1p ("p" is the sign for "pence" or "penny"). Here are pictures of the four coin denominations:
